The Black County Fellowships

Powered by CAN, supported by Arts Council England, are launching The Black Country Fellowships, a new programme creating Artist-led projects for young people in the Black Country. Four fellowships are available to Artists aged 18-34 with strong links to the Black Country, with each fellowship commanding a fee of £15000 and a project budget of £5000. Successful proposals will be selected by an independent panel of young people, one project for each of the four boroughs; Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton. Fellowship Artists will develop projects that benefit a specific community of young people (aged 0-24) within the Black Country. For FAQs please go here

Sports 360 Coach

We are looking for an enthusiastic coach to deliver sports activities for children aged 6 to 19 years across Powered by CAN’s Sports and Physical Activity projects. You will work with young people to improve skills, confidence, and gain good experience coaching lots of different sports such as Football, Volleyball, Badminton, Tennis, Boxing and more. We are able to offer training to build your coaching ‘toolbox’ as well as the opportunity to work with a friendly and dedicated team.

Term: 6 months

Salary: £11.44 to £11.94ph

We’re looking for an apprentice who:

    • Is interested in social justice and supporting children, young people and young adults to grow.

Play Worker (Part Time)

The post holder will be responsible for supporting the delivery of activities for children aged 6 to 12 years (16 with SEND) in Sandwell. This project will deliver open access after-school and holiday play sessions across Sandwell. To assist the service delivery officer in providing a caring, secure environment, through individual attention and a series of well planned, resourced and supervised activities on site and outreach venues across Sandwell.

 

Term: 31st March 2026

Salary: £23,975 pro rata 8 Hour Contract (1 post) and 16 Hour Contract (1 post)
